Discrio e un mesager fără conturi. Două telefoane se înțeleg să vorbească arătându-și un cod o singură dată, iar după aceea doar acele două telefoane pot citi ce trece între ele.
Cum începi o conversație
Deschide Conectare. Unul dintre voi apasă Arată codul meu, celălalt îl scanează cu camera. Față în față e cel mai sigur, pentru că nu stă nimic și nimeni între cele două ecrane.
Dacă nu sunteți în aceeași încăpere, apasă Trimit un link de invitație și trimite-l prin orice altă aplicație. Linkul merge o singură dată și expiră în 24 de ore. Un link trece printr-o aplicație pe care n-o controlăm, așa că, odată ce vorbiți, comparați numerele de siguranță.
Numerele de siguranță
Deschide conversația, apasă pe insigna din dreapta sus și citiți cele șaizeci de cifre cu voce tare. Dacă sunt identice, nimeni nu s-a interpus. Dacă diferă, oprește-te: nu trimite nimic și întreabă-l pe celălalt, pe alt canal, dacă și-a schimbat telefonul.
Dacă îți uiți parola
Nu se poate face nimic. Conversațiile sunt criptate cu o cheie făcută din parola ta, și nu se păstrează nicăieri nimic din care s-ar putea reface — nici pe server, nici la noi, nicăieri.
Ăsta e rostul construcției, și e singurul lucru din Discrio care nu poate fi îmblânzit.
A doua parolă
Alegi două. Una deschide conversațiile tale. Cealaltă deschide o aplicație care arată exact la fel, dar cu alte conversații, banale — pentru clipa în care cineva îți cere să-ți deschizi telefonul. Nimic de pe ecran nu trădează care dintre ele ai tastat: fără alarmă, fără notificare, fără întârziere.
Amândouă trebuie ținute minte. Partea de urgență e o aplicație adevărată: poți scrie în ea și poți adăuga contacte, iar ce pui acolo rămâne acolo.
Capturile de ecran
Capturile dintr-o conversație ies goale, iar înregistrarea și oglindirea ecranului sunt și ele acoperite. Poți permite capturile pentru o anumită conversație, dacă vrei să salvezi ce primești — atunci celălalt e anunțat pe loc când faci una.
Niciun program nu poate opri pe cineva să-ți fotografieze ecranul cu alt telefon. Pentru asta există modul contra camerei, care arată mesajul doar sub degetul tău, și cuvintele convenite, care pun pe ecran alt cuvânt decât cel la care te-ai gândit.
Mesaje care dispar
Fiecare conversație are un cronometru, șapte zile implicit, iar numărătoarea începe când mesajul e trimis, nu când e citit. Un mesaj ghost e mai strict: se citește o dată și pe urmă nu mai există, pe niciunul din telefoane. Mesajele ghost nu ajung niciodată pe disc — dacă aplicația se închide înainte să fie deschis, s-a dus.
Notificări
Notificarea scrie doar „Mesaj nou". Nu spune niciodată de la cine și niciodată ce. Dacă oprești notificările, mesajele apar când deschizi aplicația.
Ceva nu merge?
Scrie la support@discrio.com. Spune-ne, te rog, ce iPhone ai și ce versiune de iOS, și ce s-a întâmplat. Nu ne trimite conținutul unei conversații — noi oricum n-am putea să-l citim, și nici n-ar trebui să fii nevoit.

Support
Discrio is a messenger with no accounts. Two phones agree to talk by showing each other a code once, and after that only those two phones can read anything that passes between them.
Starting a conversation
Open Connect. One of you taps Show my code and the other scans it with their camera. Face to face is the safest way, because nothing and nobody stands between the two screens.
If you are not in the same room, tap I'll send an invitation link and send it through any other app. The link works once and expires after 24 hours. A link travels through an app we do not control, so once you are talking, compare the safety numbers.
The safety numbers
Open the conversation, tap the badge in the top right, and read the sixty digits aloud to each other. If they are identical, nobody came between you. If they differ, stop: do not send anything, and ask the other person on a different channel whether they changed phones.
If you forget your passphrase
Nothing can be done. The conversations are encrypted with a key made from your passphrase, and nothing is kept anywhere from which it could be rebuilt — not on the server, not by us, not anywhere.
That is the point of the design, and it is the one thing about Discrio that cannot be softened.
The second passphrase
You choose two. One opens your conversations. The other opens an app that looks exactly the same but holds different, ordinary conversations — for the moment somebody demands that you unlock your phone. Nothing on screen reveals which one you typed: no alarm, no notification, no delay.
Both have to be remembered. The duress side is a real app: you can write in it and add contacts, and what you put there stays there.
Screenshots
Screenshots of a conversation come out blank, and screen recording and mirroring are covered too. You can allow captures for a particular conversation if you want to save what you receive — the other person is then told the moment you take one.
No software can stop somebody photographing your screen with a second phone. For that there is camera mode, which reveals the message only under your finger, and agreed words, which put a different word on screen from the one you meant.
Messages that disappear
Every conversation has a timer, seven days by default, and the count starts when a message is sent rather than when it is read. A ghost message is stronger: it is read once and then it no longer exists, on either phone. Ghost messages are never written to disk at all — if the app closes before one is opened, it is gone.
Notifications
The notification says only "New message". It never says who from, and never what. If you turn notifications off, messages arrive when you next open the app.

Write to support@discrio.com. Please say which iPhone and which iOS version, and what happened. Do not send us the contents of a conversation — we could not read it anyway, and you should not have to.
